The Greenwald prize is awarded to an undergraduate at the English Department, who completed three semesters of the B.A. program with the highest grade point average in the department, considering the number of courses taken over this period. Rivka Greenwald was born in 1904 in Manchester, England and made Aliyah in 1933. A Senior Teacher at the Department of English, she taught various courses starting from 1962 in the Tel Aviv Branch of the Hebrew University. Becky Greenwald passed away in 1992.
