פרופ' מוטי גולני

תחום מחקר: 

פרופ' מוטי גולני הוא היסטוריון וראש המכון לחקר הציונות וישראל ע"ש וייצמן באוניברסיטת תל אביב. עיקר עניינו המחקרי בשאלות של מוסר, זיכרון, פוליטיקה ומלחמה בהיסטוריה של היישוב ושל מדינת ישראל. הוא עוסק גם בתקופת המנדט בפרספקטיבה של הקשר הציוני-בריטי, ואף עומד בראש הפורום הישראלי של חוקרי המנדט. מספריו: "תהיה מלחמה בקיץ, על הדרך למלחמת סיני, 1956" (1997); "ציון בציונות, התנועה הציונית, ישראל וירושלים" (2000); "מלחמות לא קורות מעצמן, על זיכרון, כוח ובחירה" (2002); "ימים אחרונים, המנדט, פינוי ומלחמה" (2009); "הנציב האחרון, הגנרל סר אלן גורדון קאנינגהם" (2011); "עצמאות ונכבה, עם עאדל מאנע, שני נרטיבים של 1948" (2011); (2013) "Palestine Between Politics and Terror, 1945-1947"; בקרוב יצא לאור ספרו החדש, שנכתב עם פרופ' יהודה ריינהרץ- הביוגרפיה של חיים וייצמן בשנים 1952-1922.
