Emmanuel Berger is a professor of legal history at the Federal Universityof Paraíba, Brazil.

His published works include Popular Justice in Europe (18th - 19th Centuries) with Emilie Delivré and Martin Löhnig, 2014;

Police and Public Order in France and England (1750 - 1850) co-edited with Clive Emsley' 2016;
